FULL DAY CAPE POINT-CAPE OF GOOD HOPE PRIVATE TOUR

CAPE POINT

SIMON’S TOWN VILLAGE

The town was named after Simon Vander Stel, Simon’s Bay and it was made the official winter anchorage for the Dutch East India Company’s ship(PORT) in 1743, by Baron G.W. THE NAME KIRSTENBOSCH

First appeared in 1795, when it was listed on an inventory of property drawn up and handed over to the British occupying forces, but the origin of the name is uncertain. It suggests a link to the Kirsten family, the Botanic Garden was established in 1913 to promote, conserve and display the extraordinarily rich and diverse flora of Southern Africa, and was the first botanic garden in the world to be devoted to a country’s indigenous flora. Thereafter we will proceed straight back to your Hotel pass by the old university in the country dating back 1829, UINIVERSITY OF CAPE TOWN originally known as South African College School, it was in Cape Town City, the main Campus moved to the present location in 1925 and its part of the land Cecil John Rhodes gives back to the Nation (Western Cape government), one of the former student to this University is BILL CLINTON the former president USA. The university now is about 15000 students. We continue pass GROOTE SCHUUR HOSPITAL, it where the first human heart transplant was performed by the professor Doctor Christian Bernard in 1967, the patient who received a 25 years old heart lives only for 18 days after operation, he died for a long infection, but the operation was still seen as a success.
